On December 2, MarinaChain achieved a remarkable milestone by securing 1st place and being awarded the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Grand Prize at the “Smart Maritime Logistics UniContest,” held at the Grand Josun Busan.
The Smart Maritime Logistics UniContest, hosted by the Ulsan Port Authority and UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology), was a key program of the 2024 Practical Maritime Logistics Employment Support Project Results Presentation. This competition aims to invigorate the maritime logistics startup ecosystem and discover promising companies. Winners were selected based on the feasibility and growth potential of their business ideas.
MarinaChain was recognized for its cutting-edge AI-based ESG solutions for maritime logistics, which enable efficient management of vessel carbon emissions and compliance with international regulations. These capabilities earned the company 1st place and the event’s highest honor, the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Grand Prize.
MarinaChain has been providing practical solutions for shipping companies in response to this year’s implementation of the EU ETS regulation and the forthcoming FuelEU Maritime initiatives.
